We are a dynamic e-commerce and retail business based in the UK, dedicated to sourcing and offering Travel Gadgets and Handmade Products. Our mission is to connect our customers with high-quality, handmade goods that tell a story. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Buyer to join our team and play a key role in expanding our product range.
As Buyer you will be responsible for
Job Description and Responsibility
• Identify and establish relationships with new suppliers.
• Negotiate terms, pricing, and conditions to ensure favourable agreements and competitive pricing.
• Present new product ideas with potential profit margins to the company directors.
• Work with the admin and IT to write compelling product descriptions for e-commerce listings.
• To Travel for meetings with supplier especially Central Asia / South Asia and China as needed.
• Ensure that adequate reserves of Products are held and that stock keeping is carried out efficiently.
• To deal with supplier complaints and queries
• To check and ensure the quality of products.
Job Requirement and required skill/knowledge
• 2 to 3 years of relevant work experience will be an advantage
• Knowledge of buying & procurement
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong coordination and negotiating skills
• Able to communicate to all levels of the business
• Good communication/interpersonal skills
• Flexibility in working hours
• Computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Internet handling
• Bilingual skills are an added advantage.
• Willingness to travel
