Hours: 37.5hours per week, Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent, Term Time only, there may be scope for this role tobe a full-time contract (52 weeks) if this is your preference,please get in touch to discuss.

About therole
Longdon Hall School are lookingfor an enthusiastic and experienced Occupational Therapist to joinour expanding team. In the role you would be expected to implementa holistic, therapeutic and dynamic approach to helping our pupilsin their daily lives - ensuring they are safe, comfortable andtheir occupational and sensory needs supported throughout theirday. Undertaking all aspects of Occupational Therapy clinicalduties, you would be expected to carry out standardised andnon-standardised assessments, bespoke interventions, and preparerelevant documentation - including writing reports and sensoryprofiles. In addition, you will provide information and training tostaff, commissioners and other agencies as required.
You would be working within our well-established andsupportive multi-disciplinary therapy team to help create anenvironment where our pupils can flourish, learn and develop. Theteam includes Psychology, Speech and Language Therapy, OccupationalTherapy and therapy assistants. Someone with a rounded andintegrated approach to care, education and clinical services wouldbe perfect for this role.

Essential Criteria:
* Occupational Therapy BSc(Hons)
* Registered with theHCPC
* Experience of workingwith adults and/or children who have an intellectualdisability and/or autism with additional needs (e.g. complextrauma, mental health needs, behaviours ofconcern)
* Ability to workcollaboratively with a range of key partners
* Able to work sensitively with people and resolveconflict effectively
* Evidence of continuing professional developmentrelevant to the setting
* Substantial and relevant post-qualificationexperience with children and young people.
* Experience oflecturing/teaching/training
* Skills in the management of data are alsoimportant as the role includes collecting and analysing data toinform various pieces of service delivery, development and projectwork.
* Experience of workingwith or qualification in sensory integration.
* Experience of supervision and training ofstaff.
* Full UK DrivingLicence and access to own vehicle required
