WORKSHOP COORDINATOR

Hours: 37.5 hours per week – permanent/contract
Location: Work across the National Museum of the Royal Navy based in Portsmouth Historic Dockyard with occasional travel to Gosport, Hartlepool and Belfast

This is a great opportunity to join the team. We are a friendly, diverse and passionate team of professionals working hard to make sure HMS Victory is conserved for future generations; Victory is currently undergoing an extensive program of works aimed at fighting the effect of rot, insects and the weather on her hull. Our multi-disciplinary team comprises highly skilled shipwrights, conservationists and archaeologists, and many more specialists, painstakingly working to make sure the ship is conserved, studied and recorded.
What you can bring:
1. Workshop or warehouse management experience, including experience of oversight of machine shops.
2. Understanding of construction / workshop Health and Safety requirements and demonstrable experience of Health and Safety documentation management.
3. Trained in the use of combi lift and slinger / banksman / gantry crane training.
4. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
5. Stakeholder Management experience.
6. Demonstrable experience of application of detailed operational planning.
7. Good team working skills.
8. Proficient use of IT including Microsoft Project, Word, Excel and Outlook.
9. Experience of administration, including managing emails, calls and correspondence.
10. Experience of anticipating, managing and solving risks and issues.
11. Ability to work autonomously and able to organize and prioritize workload to meet changing demands and comply with deadlines.
12. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with good attention to detail.
