Would you be interested in supporting children and young people as a 1:1 tutor outside of mainstream schools?
This SEN tutor role will be ideal if you are a qualified teacher, or confident teaching English, Maths or Science up to GCSE level, and are looking for some flexible work.
This role involves:
• Working with children and providing face to face support to children at their homes or a local area e.g., a local library.
• Planning resources around the child’s needs, this could be on developing their knowledge in Maths and English or educational learning through play.
• Skills and experience on keeping the child engaged with task and ensuring they can access the learning.
• Managing and implementing a range of behaviour strategies. The location for this would vary dependent on the need of the pupil but would be pre-agreed prior to commencement of the tuition. All pupils for this role however will be based in the Northamptonshire area.
What we are looking for in a SEN tutor:
• Able to plan and deliver engaging core and cross-curricular engaging sessions.
• Applying skills to get pupils education back up to
• Checking that pupils are on track to achieve their desired learning outcomes and being able to provide feedback.
• Experience with working with children with challenging behaviour.
