We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Featherstone, a Category C Prison located in Staffordshire.
HMP Featherstone is a male prison with a population of 678 males.

Hours
* 37.5 hours per week working every other weekend
* Monday - Friday - 7am - 5.30pm
* Weekends - 8.30 - 5.30pm
Salary
This position is full time, and you’ll receive an annual salary between £28,247 - £32,346 per annum, depending on experience.

Candidates are required to have a legal right to work in the UK on a permanent basis. Due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.
What you'll be doing
As a Pharmacy Technician, your responsibilities will vary. You will:
* Provide outstanding quality-based patient-centered care to our patients, seeking out, listening to, and acting on their feedback so that care is personalized and informed by what matters to them.
* Focus on providing a safe and secure medicines management service, ensuring patient medical records are maintained to the agreed standard at all times and ensuring standard operating procedures are followed to a high and orderly standard.
* Deliver non-judgmental care within the scope of professional standards, involving anything from the timely administration of medicines through to analyzing cost-effective prescribing as defined through our unique health in justice medicines policy.
* Make a real difference by working as a key member of a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.

* NVQ Level 3, or above, BTEC or equivalent
* Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
* Up to date with Continual Professional Development (CPD)
* Relevant post-qualification pharmacy experience
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Able to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures
Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community, or prison environment.
