Position Summary
You are the Captain of the Ship. You are responsible for ensuring food standards, excellent service, and maintaining cleanliness and the condition of the Restaurant. You are accountable for achieving the store’s sales and profit by managing costs and preparing weekly rosters without sacrificing guest experience. Your role is to motivate your team and create a cheerful, professional environment that encourages guests to return to German Doner Kebab.
Duties & Responsibilities
Leads Operations Excellence:
* Oversees and manages all areas of the German Doner Kebab Restaurant
* Ensures guest service exceeds standards and maintains high guest satisfaction
* Responds to guest complaints promptly and appropriately
* Ensures the highest quality of products is served
* Organizes and supervises shifts for team and guest satisfaction
* Trains and develops staff through organized training and feedback
* Evaluates team performance and provides feedback
* Forecasts requirements and manages stock inventory to minimize waste
* Ensures compliance with food safety and health & safety regulations
* Controls costs and minimizes waste to maximize profitability
* Promotes and publicizes the GDK brand
* Nurtures a positive working environment and leads by example
* Monitors restaurant operations and initiates corrective actions
* Acts as duty manager on rotation
* Leads financial areas including sales, costs, and profits
* Analyzes and plans sales and profitability
* Organizes marketing activities and promotional events
* Prepares reports on sales, team control, and food control
* Develops and executes plans for sales, profit, and staff development
* Sets and manages budgets in collaboration with the franchisee
* Coordinates restaurant operations during shifts
* Manages team welfare and provides feedback
* Ensures employees adhere to uniform standards
* Greet guests and organize reservations
* Supervises shifts of kitchen, dining, and counter teams
* Maintains high standards of quality, hygiene, and safety
* Checks stock levels and orders supplies
* Prepares cash drawers and petty cash
* Supports operational needs as required
* Encourages teamwork and positive attitudes
* Completes daily reports and attends training/meetings
* Performs other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager
* Ensures security of the restaurant
* Coordinates stock deliveries and maintains records
* Collaborates with GDK and franchisee for accounts and deliveries
* Maintains stock areas and ensures they are secure and clean
* Monitors stock levels and orders timely
* Greet customers and provide exceptional service
* Monitors staff training and performance reviews
* Maintains high standards of food quality
* Supports staff during peak times and operational duties
* Ensures team grooming and professionalism
* Follows legal and safety responsibilities
* Maintains food safety certification and compliance
* Handles equipment maintenance and safety checks

* Store Franchisee
Qualifications:
A qualified candidate should have excellent communication skills and enthusiasm for teamwork. The following qualities and skills are essential:
* Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager
* Experience in customer service management
* Extensive food knowledge
* Proficiency in English
* Computer literacy and familiarity with management software
* Strong leadership and motivational skills
