An opportunity has arisen within Neighbourhoods, Regeneration and Sustainability for an Intervention Worker to join our ChoiceWorks Programme on a fixed-term basis until 31 March 2026.
Position Details
ChoiceWorks supports adults over the age of 16 who have been in conflict with the law, helping them transition into education, employment, and training. Our team provides bespoke case management support, tailored interventions, and a range of training and employability support to our clients.
As an Intervention Worker you would work as part of a multi-disciplinary team responding to offenders (including children, young people, and adults), their families, and victims, ensuring they participate in and are fully prepared for offence focused interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support clients in addressing their offending history through sessions designed using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy techniques, such as motivational interviewing. These sessions help clients reflect on their past, understand their choices and consequences, and support them in making positive changes.
* Work across Glasgow with vulnerable individuals who have been in conflict with the law. Build professional relationships, understand trauma, and deliver bespoke sessions on various subjects, including drugs, alcohol, consequential thinking, risk, impact on offending, and healthy relationships.
* Coordinate the assessment of new clients, benchmark their journey throughout the programme, and communicate with key stakeholders such as Justice Social Work, community organisations, and other professionals.
Contract Details:
Weekly Hours: 28 per week
Work Pattern: Monday to Thursday
Annual Salary: £29,190.64 - £35,084.33 on an incremental scale
