We are currently hiring a HR Advisor to join our team on a permanent position. Their main purpose would be to act as the first port of call for all aspects of the employee lifecycle, working in conjunction with the existing team to provide a knowledgeable, consistent and timely HR service to PFAS colleagues, Line Managers and Senior management.
Main job duties:
* Influence, support, coach and provide advice to managers in a full range of people management matters including the investigation and disciplinary process, performance management, absence and capability.
* Work closely with various departments, increasingly in a consultancy role, assisting line managers to understand and implement policies and procedures.
* Manage employee relations case work including investigations, disciplinary, grievances and appeals ensuring that conduct is always in line with company policy and risks to the business are minimized.
* Manage absence cases including long term absence. Liaise with third party practitioners and occupational health to support employees back into work and provide guidance to managers on any adjustments or additional support that may be required.
* Proactively build and maintain strong, professional, and effective working relationships with line managers, employees and stakeholders.
* Devise and implement strategies and initiatives to optimize colleague engagement and support managers to review engagement survey results, identify focus areas and create action plans.
* Assist managers in implementing training plans for colleagues and create career pathways. Support the organizational design, change, acquisition, and TUPE initiatives.
* Ensure systems are kept updated, handle employee queries in a timely manner and provide reporting on HR KPIs and analytics, to evaluate, recommend and support improvement plans.
Requirements:
Essential qualifications & Training:
* Experience as a HR Assistant for at least two years or experience in a similar role.
* 4 GCSE/O level passes A-C or equivalent, including English and Maths.
* CIPD Level 5 Qualified (or studying towards).
Experience and knowledge:
* Experience of working in a Human Resource Department.
* Experience of using various Microsoft programmes and databases.
* Possess good awareness of employment law.
* Experience in dealing with confidential and sensitive data.
Skills and abilities:
* Experience in employee relations, HR practices, and employment law interpretation.
* Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build relationships.
* Works independently with minimal supervision, methodical, and detail oriented.
* Passion for high-performing service, continuous improvement, and self-development.
* Comfortable with travel within assigned areas, works well under pressure, and challenges culture when needed.
* Ability to compile and interpret statistical data and communicate it in a professional and understandable manner.

* Salary: £35,000 per annum
* Location: HYBRID - OPUS PARK (IP6 0FU) / HOME
* Job Type: PERMANENT FULL TIME
* Hours: 40 per week
* Working Pattern: Monday to Friday 8.30 to 17.00
