Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust
The Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust's (MFT) mission is to improve the health and quality of life of our diverse population by building an organisation that excels in quality, safety, patient experience, research, innovation, and teaching. MFT attracts, develops, and retains great people and is recognised internationally as a leading healthcare provider.
To achieve this, MFT is embarking on a change to its operation model which will enable a culture of improving the quality of services across the organisation. This presents an opportunity for the incumbent that is pivotal in supporting the delivery of this ambition whilst demonstrating and role modelling the Trust values.
At MFT, our people are our greatest asset, and this post will play a supportive role in the development of the skills and infrastructure to build a culture of continuous improvement within the whole quality management system. The post holder will, in collaboration with cross-functional departments, support planning of our improvement priorities, execute the MFT improvement approach and method, and support sites to strengthen their quality control to ensure we are building confidence and assurance for our people.
Main duties of the job
This role will be responsible for delivering improvement capability at different levels across the organisation and supporting significant cross-organisational improvement projects that enable MFT to improve quality, safety, efficiency, effectiveness, staff, and patient experience; with our people at the core of what we do. This will be supported by our world-class digital infrastructure to deliver value for our people.
The post holder is responsible for supporting the ongoing management of the Improvement portfolio for the Trust and its Clinical Groups, to ensure that the programme outcomes and objectives are delivered as planned. The post holder will be expected to engage key stakeholders in setting the direction and delivery of the Improvement programme portfolio's objectives.
This new role offers an outstanding opportunity to an experienced practitioner of large-scale organisational change, and we seek an improvement leader who can support the Trust's teams to help create the change and translate our improvement and transformational aspirations into practical actions and results for our people.
