Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Mathematics Teaching Assistant to join our team starting in September. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a recent mathematics graduate to gain valuable experience in an educational setting while making a positive impact on students' learning journeys.
Responsibilities:
* Assist mathematics teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons that cater to a range of learning styles and abilities.
* Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who require additional help with mathematical concepts.
* Help create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel encouraged to participate and succeed.
* Contribute to the development of resources and materials to enhance the teaching and learning of mathematics.
* Assist with the assessment and feedback process, including marking assignments and providing constructive feedback to students.
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or a related field.
* Has or is willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS
* Strong understanding of mathematical concepts across various topics, including algebra, calculus, geometry, and statistics.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and colleagues.
* Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping others learn.
* Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential.
