Job Advert: Welder/Fabricator
Location: Near Birmingham
Role: Welder/Fabricator (Workshop based)
Duration: 3 to 4 months
Our client specializes in producing and machining high-quality power generation parts, ensuring precision and excellence in every project, supporting team projects all around the UK. Their strong team dynamic and commitment to customer satisfaction set them apart.
Responsibilities:
- Assemble and complete customer rotor stands based on in-house design drawings.
- Demonstrate competence in welding and fabrication.
- Must be able to interprate and work off drawings.
- Be able to use different machinery and tools to replicate parts.
- Demonstrate a strong knowledge of health and safety.
- Other duties and responsibilities required by site.
Desirable:
- Current coding certifications for general material types are advantageous.
Shift Pattern:
- Minimum 40 hours: Standard 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Friday, with a 1-hour lunch break.
- Alternative 40-hour schedule: Can be arranged over 4 days.
- Overtime: Overtime available - Up to 20 per week
Pay Rate: Starting at £28.33 per hour. Limited company payment options available.
Preference: Local candidates preferred, but travelling labour will be considered.
