Reed Accountancy are proud to be working with a business near Wakefield who are recruiting a Junior Accounts Assistant to join their team. You will assist the Management Accountant with Purchase Ledger and Credit Control duties. Training will be provided, graduates/apprentices are also encouraged to apply. This is a part-time and permanent position. Location: Wakefield Job Type: Part-Time (30 hours) Salary: Up to £27,000 FTE (depending on experience) Duties and Responsibilities: Accurately input and process invoices Maintain and reconcile supplier statements Prepare and process payments to suppliers Ensure compliance with company policies Assist in the preparation of monthly reports related to purchase ledger activities Monitor and manage accounts receivable Reconcile customer accounts Ensure timely collection of outstanding invoices Communicate with clients regarding overdue payments You will need to demonstrate: Strong analytical and problem solving-skills Degree in Accountancy or studying AAT or experience within a similar environment Excellent communication and negotiation skills Strong attention to detail Ideally drive with access to own car (desirable – due to location) Benefits: 25 days holiday bank holidays Enhanced pension scheme Life insurance 4X salary Free parking
