Electronics Engineer

Role Objective:
As an Electronics Engineer your role involves the design, development, and testing of electronic and electrical systems and firmware across new and existing SMS products.
Essential Skills & Responsibilities:
1. Design and develop electronic circuits and systems, including analogue, digital and mixed signal circuits. Conduct circuit simulations and analysis using software tools to ensure proper functionality and performance prior to manufacture.
2. Create PCB layouts and design multilayer boards using software tools.
3. Create wiring diagrams and layout for instrument electronics and creating BOMs.
4. Experience with STM32-based microcontrollers, embedded C/C++ using IAR IDE, Python.
5. Good appreciation of transducers and sensors applications in instrumentation.
6. Use of ADC and DAC components in low-noise, high-precision applications.
7. Interfacing analogue circuits with microprocessors, bus-controlled devices, I2C, SPI, USB, Bluetooth, TCP/IP.
8. Knowledge of EMC best practices for CE compliance, including compliance with the EMC Directive and Low Voltage Directive.
9. Hands on fault finding and diagnostics skills.
10. Assemble electronic prototypes, perform functional testing, and verify performance against design specifications. Troubleshoot issues and suggest design improvements as necessary.
11. Develop test plans and procedures for electronic systems. Perform various tests, including electrical, functional, environmental, and reliability tests, to ensure compliance with specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
12. Create technical documentation, including design specifications, user manuals, test reports, and production guidelines. Maintain accurate records of design changes, test results, and project progress. Familiar with PLM/PDM.
13. Quality assurance and compliance: Ensure that electronic systems and components meet quality standards, safety regulations, and relevant certifications. Conduct risk assessments and implement appropriate measures to mitigate risks.
Qualifications & Education Requirements:
· A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering or a related field.
· 1-5 years of experience in electronics design and development.
