We are currently recruiting for an Analyst within our Retail and Consumer Insight team, working on a hybrid basis, two/three days from our HQ in Coventry and the remainder working remotely from home.
The aim of AHDB’s Retail and Consumer Insight team is to work collaboratively with industry stakeholders, providing the highest quality, evidence-based insights that shape sector strategy and help optimise levy payer competitiveness. This role is primarily involved in data analytics and consumer trend reporting, collecting and analysing market information to produce key industry statistics and reports from multiple sources including Kantar Worldpanel, Nielsen, YouGov, IGD, and Mintel.
We are looking for a confident communicator with previous data analysis experience and an interest in consumer food trends along with a degree in economics/agriculture or similar discipline.

Key Responsibilities:
* Contribute to analysis, interpretation, and commentary relating to retail and consumer markets
* Develop an in-depth knowledge of analytical areas and keep abreast of the latest developments to proactively ensure team outputs are up to date
* Ensure market information is high quality, accurate, and clearly presented
* Collect and input data from primary and secondary sources to produce key industry statistics
* Meet deadlines and ensure information enquiries are answered accurately
* Keep abreast of appropriate industry developments to ensure analysis is accurate and relevant
* Follow existing data and information quality processes, ensuring the accuracy of outputs by communicating verbally and in writing
* Distribute market information and update relevant information on AHDB websites
* Maintain and develop effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
* Take responsibility for planning, delivering, and reviewing of projects, demonstrating accountability throughout
* Undertake any other duties required to assist with the operational priorities of the E&A team
Minimum Requirements:
* Professional qualification to at least degree standard in Economics/Agriculture or another numerate discipline, or equivalent experience
* Experience of using modern IT applications such as Microsoft and in particular Excel. Access and Power BI would be an advantage, although not essential
* Good interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders
* A clear and professional communicator both verbally and in writing
* Effective time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage deadlines
