Job summary
The Community podiatry service is looking to recruit a new clinical support officer.
This clinical post is vacant due to internal promotion.
The Community podiatry service provides clinics in Clacton, Colchester, and Harwich, as well as home visits for housebound clients across North East Essex. We assess and treat a wide range of foot conditions for all ages.
You will join our growing team of podiatrists, apprentice podiatrists, and associate practitioners, who together provide assessment, education, and treatment to our patients. Your role will be to assist in the clinic where an assistant is needed, such as nail surgery and wound dressing clinics.
Once trained, you will also complete post-nail surgery checks and redressings under the direction of the podiatrist. You will manage our stock levels, ordering items for stock and specific items as required. Training on all systems used will be provided, but a confident grasp of basic IT skills is essential.
You will at times need to provide reception cover and assist in referral and appointment management.
Good interpersonal skills are essential to support effective communication with service users and the MDT.
As a CSO, you will work from our Clacton or Colchester base but will be expected to cover all areas as needed by the service (this is preplanned). A car driver and access to a car is desirable.
