Assistant Site Manager opportunity working on a reinforced concrete frame student accommodation high-rise project in Sheffield with an approx. value of £25m.
About the role of Assistant Site Manager
This opportunity as Assistant Site Manager is with a renowned regional main contractor that is currently the market-leading contractor for this region. Reporting to a Site Manager, you will need to be a dedicated and motivated assistant, working closely with the Site Manager and sharing responsibilities from substructures through to interior fit-out and handover. You will help oversee a full site team, be part of chairing subcontractor meetings, progress reporting, and overseeing health & safety and quality.
Responsibilities for Assistant Site Manager
You will be assisting in the following:
* Substructures through to interior fit-out and handover
* Managing a full site team
* Chairing subcontractor meetings
* Progress reporting and overseeing health & safety
* Checking the workmanship on site to ensure it adheres to the standards set.
Requirements for Assistant Site Manager
* Proven track record as an Assistant Site Manager with demonstrable project delivery experience on high-rise reinforced concrete student accommodation or apartment developments.
* Experience working with regional or tier 1 contractors
* Trade background or BSc in Construction Management
* SMSTS certification
* Experience taking projects from ground-breaking to completion & handover to the client.
