Job Responsibilities
1. Manage and motivate the shift team to ensure productivity and service KPI’s are achieved or exceeded.
2. Ensure the highest levels of Health, Safety, and Hygiene are maintained to comply with legislative and quality standards; complete and retain relevant paperwork.
3. Conduct communication briefings to keep all shifts informed about company and local issues, encouraging employee input and involvement.
4. Manage Goods Inwards to ensure quick receipt processing without damage, maintaining stock availability for orders.
5. Develop team members to maximize their contributions and support succession planning.
6. Conduct disciplinary and grievance interviews and investigations following company procedures.
7. Monitor and control sickness absence levels, conducting effective return-to-work interviews.
8. Oversee the time and attendance system.
9. Manage overtime and agency worker levels to ensure shift efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
10. Enforce and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
11. Supervise team training, ensuring health & safety representation, such as First Aiders and Fire Marshalls.

* Proficient in computer use, especially Excel.
* Confident in dealing with people at all levels.
* Adaptable with a methodical approach to work, training, and hours.
* Conscientious and reliable.
* Capable of working efficiently and accurately under pressure.
* Ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
* Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
* Professional, approachable, and helpful to ensure smooth operations.
* Proactive with decision-making skills.
