English Teacher Full Time Portsmouth April/September Start Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a school in the Portsmouth area who are seeking a motivated and ambitious English teacher to join their team. Key Responsibilities As an English teacher, you will: Plan and deliver engaging and inspiring lessons across KS3 and KS4, in line with the national curriculum. Foster a love of literature and language, encouraging students to develop their reading, writing, and analytical skills. Assess, monitor, and record student progress, providing constructive feedback to help them reach their potential. Differentiate lessons to meet the diverse needs of all learners, including those with SEND or EAL. Contribute to the design and delivery of an enriching English curriculum. Promote high standards of behaviour and a positive learning environment. Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and develop innovative teaching strategies. Participate in extracurricular activities and initiatives to enhance the wider school community. What We Expect The successful candidate will: Be a qualified English teacher (QTS or equivalent) with a proven track record of success in the classroom.
