Description The Team Join our Surrey North Child and Youth Mental Health Services team We are a passionate group of clinicians working together to make a positive impact on families in the Surrey area. With a focus on person-centered care, we work collaboratively to support children, youth, and families up to age 19 through evidenced based and goal-oriented support. We collaborate with community partners to support children and youth facing mental health challenges through early intervention and long-term treatment. The Role The Child and Youth Mental Health Clinician role will provide an opportunity to work with a collaborative and passionate team to support children, youth and families navigating challenges with mental health. The successful candidate will provide direct clinical services, including intake, assessment, treatment, and crisis intervention for children and youth from birth to age 18 and their families. The clinician will work in various settings, including homes, schools, and communities, to support coordinated services and positive outcomes in a respectful, trauma informed and culturally sensitive way. Qualifications: Education and Experience Requirements Ph.D. in Clinical/Applied Psychology, Counselling Psychology, OR PsyD, AND registered with, or eligible for, registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia (CHCPBC). Note: If you are registered as a Psychologist in another province, equivalencies for out of province applicants may be considered by the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia (CHCPBC). NOTE: If your degree was obtained outside of Canada, you need to confirm it has been assessed for equivalency through the International Credential Evaluation Services ( ICES ). You must provide a basic report by the closing date of this posting to be considered. Completion of a psychological pre-or post-doctoral internship of 1600 hours in a child and youth mental health or hospital setting with specialization in formal psychological assessment, diagnoses and treatment of mental health disorders. Experience in clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology. Minimum of one year full-time equivalent experience working with children and youth and their families, with responsibility for providing a wide range of community based mental health services.
