We are seeking an experienced and dynamic School Business Manager to join our Senior Leadership Team, taking over from the current post holder who is retiring. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the continued success and development of our school. As our new School Business Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the operational leadership of the school. Your areas of responsibility will include: Budgeting and Finance: Overseeing financial planning, management, and reporting. Site Management: Ensuring health and safety standards, and the smooth running of the school buildings and grounds. Administration Teams: Leading and supporting office staff to ensure efficient administration processes. Catering, Cleaning, and Caretaking Teams: Managing key support services to ensure a clean, safe, and healthy environment for our pupils. ICT Support: Overseeing technical and IT systems to support teaching and learning. Human Resources: Managing HR functions, including staff recruitment, development, and wellbeing. This role is vital to the smooth running of our school and will require a proactive, flexible, and solution-focused approach to meet the varied needs of our school community. About the Candidate The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional leadership and management skills, with a proven track record in finance, site management, and/or operations. You will need to have the ability to inspire and lead teams, as well as a strong commitment to our school’s values and vision. We are looking for someone who is: Experienced in financial management, with an accountancy qualification or relevant experience in a similar role (education experience is desirable, but not essential). Capable of leading diverse teams, ensuring high standards across all areas. A clear communicator with the ability to articulate our school’s vision and values. Able to foster positive, nurturing relationships with staff, pupils, and the wider school community. Resilient, adaptable, and proactive, with the ability to solve complex problems and drive continuous improvement.
