Age UK Sheffield provides high quality services, tailored to the needs and wishes of individual older people. We are looking for people passionate about providing excellence in dementia service provision to join our team based in various venues across Sheffield.
Wellbeing Centre Assistant Coordinators - 21 hours, 9am to 4pm, 3 days per week to work at our Dementia Centres located in parks in Hillsborough, Norfolk Park and Botanical Gardens.
Salary: £11.78 per hour, £12,863 actual plus pension and 30 days annual leave plus public holidays (pro rata).
Do you have personal or professional experience of the issues experienced by people living with memory loss/dementia and their families? Would you enjoy getting to know individual customers and their life stories and then develop conversation and activities around these topics? Would you relish the opportunity to help run a centre of wellbeing where people living with memory loss and dementia support each other, pursue activities and develop new interests? The successful applicant will enjoy creating opportunities for laughter and joy, raising aspirations, and developing and delivering interesting and stimulating individual and group activities.
Cognitive Stimulation Therapy and Dementia Stars training will be provided.
