Teaching Personnel's PWR team are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and visionary Head of Maths to lead a thriving and high-achieving mathematics department in Bexleyheath. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic direction, developing and implementing innovative teaching and learning strategies, and fostering a culture of excellence within the department.
Responsibilities:
* Provide strategic leadership and direction for the maths department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
* Develop and implement innovative and engaging teaching and learning strategies that cater to the diverse needs of all students.
* Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing targeted support and intervention to ensure all students make excellent progress.
* Lead, mentor, and support a team of dedicated and talented maths teachers, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of the school's curriculum, ensuring it is relevant, challenging, and engaging.
* Lead the development of extracurricular activities related to mathematics, promoting a love of the subject beyond the classroom.
* Analyse performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement effective strategies to raise attainment.
* Ensure that all departmental policies and procedures are in line with school and national guidelines.
* Organise and lead departmental meetings and professional development sessions.
