Would you like to gain your degree whilst gaining valuable work experience in a salaried role? Do you enjoy working in a high-energy team? Take pride in high standards? And feel satisfied when you smash today’s targets? Then this opportunity could be for you. Here at Samworth Brothers we are proud to offer our Higher-Level Apprenticeship Scheme (HLA) to give you a great springboard to start your career in the food industry. In 2018, we saw that by creating this scheme we could support ambitious people to gain a degree alongside real-world work experience at the same time, and our business would benefit from the energy and fresh thinking that an under-graduate could contribute. So far, we’ve seen fantastic results and we’re now recruiting for our 2025 intake. Your Degree Apprenticeship We are looking for analytical and thorough people to join our 2025 cohort of HLAs, working within our Technical job family. Our Technical team also monitor and control our food safety standards, making sure that every single product reaches the consumer fresh, and safe to eat. During your programme you would have 3 x 1-year placements which are all real job roles with real responsibilities. Your degree studies are centred on a Chartered Manager degree through our academic partner Sheffield Hallam University (SHU). You may know that SHU is a National Centre of Excellence for Food Engineering, featuring in the 2020 Good University Guide for teaching quality, and currently rated 80% for student satisfaction.
