Salary - £47,000 per annum
Location - Skelmersdale, Lancashire
(you may be required to work from other locations at the discretion of the company and with appropriate notice)
Based in the heart of West Lancashire, Elm House Care Home is looking for a passionate and experienced Registered Manager to join the team and provide guidance and support to all staff and residents.
Elm House is a newly built care home with an array of relaxing spaces and in house amenities, giving residents a home away from home. With 5 wings designed to provide a calming and relaxing space for residents, inspired by areas of the lake district, this is the perfect place for our service users to enjoy their later years.
We need someone who can effectively manage and collaborate with staff ensuring a positive and pleasant working environment. You will be leading all aspects of Elm House life from housekeeping and administration to superior care and nursing.
You will encourage and inspire your staff to be the best they can be, bestowing your knowledge and experience providing direction and focus. Alongside this there is an expectancy for you to be responsible for your own professional development.

About The Role
The successful candidate MUST have the appropriate skills and qualifications which include:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (part of QCF system)
- Registered Managers Award (RMA)
- Vocational qualification level 4 in Leadership and Management for Care Services
- Vocational qualification Level 4 in Health and Social Care
Your duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to
· To provide leadership to the administration, care and nursing, catering, housekeeping, laundry, maintenance and people management functions of the service
· To carry out, and provide leadership in marketing the service, and selling its services at the agreed prices
· To maintain the operations of the service at the standard agreed with the Registered Provider, within the financial budget or other parameters set by the Provider
· Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of those individuals supported by the service.
· Recruitment of staff
· Induct new starters in accordance with company policy
· Lead, motivate and direct staff
· Conduct staff supervision and annual staff appraisals for all heads of department
· Develop staff to their full potential, ensuring succession planning for the service
· Ensure multidisciplinary team working is embedded in the service
