Business Development Manager – Financial Services
We’re on the search for a high performing, ambitious Business Development professional to join a leading International Financial Services business with an expanding presence in Nottingham.
An excellent position has become available for a candidate who has cut their teeth in sales and is looking for the next step, to join the team as a Business Development Manager, working with current clients, old contacts & new prospects to increase spend across their assigned region.
To be successful in this role, you will be a proven high achiever who is well versed in exceeding targets on a regular basis. Due to the technical nature of our client’s service, plenty of training will be on offer as well as sponsored qualifications to get the successful candidate up to speed. The track record of progression in this role from others internally has been unrivalled and this position should be viewed as “just the start” in an organisation that has quadrupled in size over the past 3 years.
The basic salary for the role is £30,000 - £35,000 with an uncapped OTE but expected c£15k, up to 30 days annual leave plus stats, sponsored finance qualifications, and hybrid working 1 day per week. Both the basic salary and bonus will increase year on year up to an attainable £60k-£70k per annum package.
It would be highly beneficial to have experience in the Financial Services or linked sectors, such as mortgages, pensions, financial advice, credit services, or banking; however, this is not essential.
Responsibilities
* Utilise existing accounts and business relationships to increase revenue streams
* Generate new business through contacting prospective clients
* Attend regular client meetings to build on relationships
* Keep up to date with industry information to provide insight to clients
Skills & Experience
* Due to the technical nature of the role, a degree within the field of Business, Finance, or Accounting is essential (or willingness to take on company sponsored qualifications), ideally achieving a 2:1 and above
* Previous experience in a similar Account Management/Business Development role
* Proven track record of hitting sales targets
* Willingness to take professional qualifications to improve industry knowledge
