About the role: As part of our dynamic team, you'll project manage our key EDI initiatives, including equality charter-marks, surveys, and data analysis. You'll also support the delivery of Sanger Excellence Fellowships and collaborate across the organisation to foster a more inclusive and diverse culture. What You'll Be Doing: Project Management: Project manage the delivery of the objectives outlined in the organisation's EDI (Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion), race equity, and Athena SWAN action plans, ensuring a proactive approach to continually improving and developing gender and race practices within the organisation. Contribute to advancing the organisation's EDI agenda by identifying areas for improvement and introducing best practices that drive meaningful cultural change. Data Analysis & Reporting: Lead the collection and analysis of equality data, identify trends, and present findings through dashboards and reports. Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and provide secretariat support for various EDI committees and working groups. Event Coordination: Assist in organising staff engagement events and manage the Equality in Science programme, including liaising with the EDI Programme Coordinator. Communication & Promotion: Produce content to promote EDI projects across multiple channels, including the website, social media, and newsletters. Improvements: Be proactive in developing gender and race practices Essential Skills & Experience: Solid understanding of EDI legislation and best practices. Experience with EDI-related charter-marks (e.g., Athena SWAN, Race Equality Charter). Strong data analysis and report writing skills. Excellent organisational and project management abilities. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to build relationships and collaborate with diverse teams. Final salary dependent on skills and experience.
