Victim Support is looking for an Independent Sexual Violence Advisor based in our Wakefield office, with frequent travel across West Yorkshire working 24 hours per week.

About The Role:
This role is based in Wakefield with travel across West Yorkshire.
As an Independent Sexual Violence Advisor You Will Be:
* Providing ongoing continuity, advocacy, and impartial advice and information to all survivors accessing our service, focusing on clients with a wide range of disabilities.
* Conducting risk assessments and assessing the specific needs of people who have suffered sexual violence, developing individual service plans.
* Working in a trauma-informed manner, offering support to promote survivors' confidence, resilience, and empowerment.
* Providing non-therapeutic support to victims/survivors through various communication methods.
* Attending relevant meetings and providing regular reports to your line manager, as well as undertaking talks and presentations to local groups and agencies.
* Offering guidance to clients in navigating the criminal justice process and ensuring their rights are protected in accordance with the Victims Code of Practice.
This role demands a high amount of resilience and the management of a high caseload.
