Overseeing testing projects including: Liaison with clients to ensure that their requirements are fully met Liaison with Technician teams Defining test programmes and associated costs Conducting tests in accordance with the requirements of the appropriate test standard and approved procedures Preparation of test reports complying fully with the requirements of the test standard and quality manual Leading test teams on specific testing projects Preparation of technical drawings using AutoCAD Maintenance of laboratory equipment to ensure safety and quality are not compromised Providing technical guidance where required or requested Experience of the building product testing industry Qualification in a science / technical subject or equivalent experience would be desirable Educated to GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English to Grade C or above Degree / HND in a scientific or technical discipline is desirable Knowledge of AutoCAD Project management experience would be desirable Excellent written communication skills, including report writing Able to understand technical subjects and to explain them to others Demonstrable customer skills, including an ability to establish a quick rapport with visitors and clients Good IT skills including Word and Excel Confident decision maker Methodical and measured approach to problem solving An understanding of calibration and instrumentation An appreciation of engineering and construction materials Excellent attention to detail Confidence Calm disposition Well organised and methodical Enjoys team working but can operate alone Please apply by email to Leigh.McComishelement.com Element is one of the fastest growing testing, inspection and certification businesses in the world.
