Join the Global Operations team within the Group Logistics discipline.
Based at our location in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire you will join our Global Logistics Team in this newly created role, reporting into our Head of Global Logistics in Denmark.
This is what you will be doing
You will be responsible for ensuring we have a competitive and effective logistics set up for UK and Ireland that reviles our competitors in the Market. You will work closely with the local Commercial Sales teams, Logistic Teams (at our various production facilities in Poland and Lithuania), the Global S&OP team and third-party Logistic Service Providers; to ensure we focus on the customer needs with and drive for continuous improvements.
In short, your responsibilities will be:
* Overall responsible for the logistics operation within UK and Ireland
* Accountable for local logistics budget (CAPEX, OPEX and investments) and service levels
* Identifying potential improvement areas within the order to deliver process.
* Collaboratively with the relevant Sales teams, specify the customer requirements in respect of Time (order processing time and lead time from order to delivery), Transportation (means of transportation and frequency of deliveries) and Value Adding Services.
* Lead regular Business Performance Meetings with the relevant stakeholders
* Logistics Lead on New Product Introduction including setting up new logistics networks where relevant.
* Ensure and where needed in collaboration with the legal department and/or ext. partners that all legal requirements are fulfilled in compliance with local and international law within area of responsibility.

This is your background and competencies
* Extensive experience within logistics or supply chain management
* Proven record of working with logistics improvement projects / supply chain network development.
* Excellent understanding of SAP or similar ERP systems
* Strong influence skills and ability to inspire and guide teams
* Excellent communication skills, English language is essential, other languages would be a benefit.
* Collaborative and ability to work cross- functional
* Open-minded and agile to respond to changes and unforeseen challenges
