Job Title: PSV Workshop Controller (Night Shift)

Salary: Up to £55,000 per annum
Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and experienced PSV Workshop Controller to join our team in Brixton. This is a night shift role that offers an excellent opportunity to oversee and manage our workshop operations effectively while ensuring the smooth maintenance and repair of public service vehicles (PSVs).
Key Responsibilities
Workshop Management: Coordinate and oversee all night shift workshop activities, ensuring efficiency and adherence to schedules.
Team Supervision: Lead and manage a team of skilled technicians and support staff, ensuring high performance and morale.
Maintenance Oversight: Monitor the repair, servicing, and inspection of PSVs to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Quality Assurance: Conduct quality checks on completed work to maintain high standards and minimize rework.
Resource Allocation: Ensure the optimal use of tools, equipment, and materials, reducing waste and downtime.
Scheduling and Planning: Organize and prioritize tasks to meet operational deadlines and customer requirements.
Communication: Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure clear communication and prompt issue resolution.
Health & Safety Compliance: Promote and enforce strict adherence to health and safety protocols within the workshop.
Reporting: Maintain accurate records of work completed, staff performance, and workshop KPIs.Key Skills and Experience
Experience: Proven experience in a PSV or HGV workshop environment, with previous supervisory or managerial experience.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of PSV maintenance, diagnostics, and repair processes.
Leadership: Effective team leadership and motivational skills.
Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities under pressure.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Problem-Solving: Strong ability to diagnose and resolve technical and operational issues efficiently.
IT Skills: Familiarity with workshop management systems and MS Office Suite.
Certifications: Relevant qualifications in vehicle maintenance and repair (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).Working Hours
