Position Overview
We have an ambitious transformation agenda, so we are seeking a Director of Public Health to join our Chief Executive Team who shares our aims and values. We are seeking an extraordinary individual who will act with integrity, supporting the organisation in building and maintaining a culture where people are treated fairly, consistently, and with respect; where everyone has a voice; and where equity, inclusion, and diversity are valued.
Reporting to the Chief Executive, and as an Executive Director of the NHS Tayside Board, you will share corporate accountability with other members of the Chief Executive Team for the overall leadership of health and care services in Tayside. You will play a critical role in shaping and delivering our strategic plan, providing professional leadership in Public Health across NHS Tayside as well as the three Integrated Joint Boards (IJBs) and via the Community Planning Partnerships for local authorities and other community planning partners. You will lead a team of talented Public Health professionals with responsibility for health improvement, health intelligence, health protection, health care public health, and the Board’s public health response.
