LCV Technician (Mercedes-Benz)
Location: Kidderminster.
Salary: Circa £40K.
Working Hours: 40 hours per week, 07:00-15:30/13:30-22:00, Monday to Friday. Plus 1 in 3 Saturdays, 07:00-12:00 at overtime rate. Flexible with shift pattern.
Responsibilities:
1. Performing major and minor repairs to light goods vehicles, trailers, and other vehicles.
2. Conducting regular inspections and general preventive maintenance services such as tyre rotation and oil changes.
3. Maintaining inventory in the workshop and ensuring cleanliness from oil spills and dust.
4. Collaborating with repair teams to diagnose and plan repairs for vehicles.
5. Keeping records of vehicles that have been repaired or handled.
6. Providing repair services to clients on the road in emergencies.
7. Completing relevant documentation and paperwork, including warranty claims or escalation to management.
Skills & Behaviours Required for this Role:
1. Qualification: Level 3 (NVQ or City and Guilds or IMI Qualification) in Vehicle Repair and Maintenance, with experience in diagnostic and service repairs.
2. Resilience: Strong coping skills to overcome challenges.
3. Motivation: Essential for personal and team success, and being a brilliant team player.
4. Attention to Detail: Precision in diagnosing issues and conducting repairs to meet safety and performance standards.
5. Time Management: Ability to prioritize and complete tasks within timeframes to meet customer demands and maintain workshop efficiency.
