TVS are working as part of Team Leidos, which is a team of defence and supply chain specialists supporting a major contract providing an end-to-end supply chain service delivering and inventory managing key commodities to the UK Ministry of Defence (clothing, medical, general supplies, tools, batteries, oils, lubricants & gases, food).
Please note we work on a hybrid model of three days working from home and two days in our offices in Emersons Green, Bristol each week. Therefore, you must be located within reasonable commuting distance to Bristol.
Purchase Requisition Management – Supply Chain Coordinators (SCC) are responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of Purchase Requisition data from the TVS Enterprise Resource Planning system (Msys.ERP) to Sage (Purchase to Payment system) to enable Purchase Orders to be released to our suppliers.
Inbound Material Control – SCCs ensure compliance with the Advance Shipment Notification (ASN) process and respond to exception messages regarding inbound material flow (lead times, due dates, promise dates).
SCCs are subject matter experts within their specific commodities, managing supplier broad category groupings. Successful candidates could be employed in the clothing, medical or general supplies Supply Chain teams.
Job Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
* Monitor & review system driven demands released to our suppliers (via Msys).
* Review & action system worklists generated by Msys.
* Review and manage supplier responses / quotes in Msys (& off system on occasion).
* Engage and communicate with our supply base / market to source competitive pricing for spot orders (off contract) and complete Single Source Justification as required.
* Raise manual purchase requests outside of MRP where required.
* Liaise and collaborate with commercial, category and inventory colleagues across the Commodity Support Service (CSS) Business Unit to optimise supplier chain activity.
* Provide proactive early warnings on potential supply issues and actions for remediation.
* Manage and liaise with suppliers regarding compliance, delivery booking requests and active orders.
* Review and manage supplier delivery dates, expedite as required and maintain on system data.
Qualifications and Skills
No previous supply chain experience required, TVS are looking for colleagues who are willing to learn, who are good communicators and who enjoy working in a team environment. TVS offer full training and development both internally and using external bodies such as the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport (CILT).
The successful candidate will be required to go through a Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) Clearance.
