* Monday to Thursday: 8:30 AM to 4:45 PM
* Friday: 8:30 AM to 4:15 PM

We are seeking an experienced Engine Systems Engineer to join our European Division, focusing on the design and development of electrical and electronic control systems for powertrain products. As a key technical support member, you will be involved in cutting-edge projects that integrate the latest in electronics and control systems technology.
This role offers a unique opportunity to work with a dynamic team on developing innovative electronic systems, contributing directly to the development of high-performance products used worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
* Serve as the primary technical support for the Engine Electronic system.
* Collaborate with internal teams and development partners throughout the entire product lifecycle, from development through to post-production maintenance.
* Contribute to system architecture, schematics, and component selection.
* Participate in failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) and validation activities, improving validation test plans as needed.
* Provide technical support for system schematics, pinouts, and software functionality.
* Investigate and resolve reported quality issues.
Required Skills and Competencies:
* Degree in Engineering or HNC/NVQ level 4 with relevant experience in systems engineering for electronic engine or automotive control systems.
* Proven experience in system integration, troubleshooting, and design.
* Knowledge of internal combustion engines and how they are controlled.
* Experience with system verification, customer requirement development, and FMEA processes.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a global team environment.
Desirable Skills:
* Experience in off-highway electronic control system development or related fields such as automotive, marine, or military vehicles.
* Knowledge of engine systems such as fuel and air systems.
* Familiarity with tools like CANape, CANalyzer, and oscilloscopes.
* Experience with FMEA facilitation and design validation planning.
Industry Background:
The ideal candidate will have experience in one or more of the following industries:
* Diesel engine or off-highway machine development (automotive, marine, or military).
* Automotive OEMs (e.g., JLR, Nissan, Ford).
* Automotive Tier 1 system suppliers (e.g., Bosch, Delphi).
* Specialist automotive sectors (e.g., motorsport).
* Comparable engineering fields such as aeronautics, rail, or military equipment.
