A welcoming SEN school in Hackney is looking for a dedicated Early Years SEN Teacher to provide young learners with a strong foundation in essential skills within a supportive, structured environment. In this full-time, permanent role, you will work closely with students, fostering growth, confidence, and a love for learning tailored to each child's developmental needs.
Role Highlights
* Full-time, permanent position within a specialist Early Years SEN setting focused on nurturing individual growth in a safe, engaging environment
* Develop and implement customized, creative lessons that cater to each child’s unique developmental needs, laying the groundwork for academic and social skills
* Collaborate closely with a team of SEN support staff and therapists to create cohesive, individualized learning plans that address each child’s specific needs
* Foster a warm, inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages curiosity, resilience, and confidence, helping each student feel secure and motivated to participate
* Engage in specialized training and professional development opportunities focused on Early Years SEN practices, refining your approach to support effective, inclusive learning
* Continuously assess student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed and providing regular feedback to parents and SEN team members to ensure consistent, aligned support
Experience & Qualifications
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with proven experience in Early Years education; SEN experience is highly desirable
* Patience, empathy, and creativity in lesson planning, enabling you to design engaging and adaptable activities that meet a range of developmental abilities and learning styles
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with support staff, parents, and SEN professionals, building a network of support for each child’s growth
* A collaborative approach and dedication to inclusive education, with a commitment to fostering a positive, supportive environment for young learners
* A current, clear Enhanced DBS check is required to ensure the safety and well-being of all students
