EXPERIENCED PROTECTION ONLY ADVISOR Job Title: Protection Advisor Location: Urmston, Trafford – Office-based initially, then once training has been completed there is the option for a hybrid role. Salary – Competitive basic salary dependent on experience, OTE £90K plus, open-ended commission structure. Job Purpose: The Protection Advisor is responsible for providing expert advice and recommending suitable insurance and protection products to clients, ensuring they are financially protected against unforeseen events. This role requires a deep understanding of financial products, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with clients. Key Responsibilities: Conduct thorough assessments of clients' financial situations to understand their protection needs. Provide expert advice on protection products such as life insurance, income protection, critical illness cover, and family protection. Meet and exceed sales targets. Engage with both new and existing clients to offer appropriate protection solutions. Build and maintain strong client relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals. Product Knowledge: Stay updated with the latest insurance products and industry regulations. Ensure clients understand the terms and conditions of the products offered. Explain the benefits and limitations of various protection plans in clear, accessible terms. Documentation and Compliance: Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation accurately, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal standards. Adhere to financial regulations, such as those set by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). Customer Service: Provide ongoing support to clients after the sale, including addressing any queries or issues they may have with their policies. Offer claims support, ensuring clients understand how to file and follow up on claims. Manage any complaints in a professional manner and ensure customer satisfaction. Skills and Qualifications: Essential: Proven track record of protection sales, consistently hitting and overachieving targets. Minimum 2 years’ experience in protection only products. Strong understanding of protection products and the financial services industry. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients. Goal-oriented with a strong drive for achieving sales targets and business growth. High level of attention to detail, especially when completing documentation and ensuring compliance.
