Skybound Wealth Management, a leader in the wealth management sector, has been established in the UK for over 20 years. As part of the Skybound Capital Group, we continue to grow and evolve. With an increasing focus on the UK arm of our business, we are seeking to appoint an experienced Managing Director to lead Skybound Wealth Management Limited (UK) in 2025.
This pivotal role will involve close collaboration with Skybound's Executive Committee to execute our ambitious growth strategy for the region. Over the next three years, we aim to expand our team to 20 Financial Advisers and significantly increase our assets under management (AUM).
Key Responsibilities:
* Leadership and Management: Directly manage the Financial Planning and support teams in Skybound Wealth UK, overseeing appraisals and ensuring the effective functioning of the teams.
* Operational Oversight: Take responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the UK business, including Business Development, Administration, and other key support functions.
* Provider Relations: Work closely with providers to maintain and enhance terms of business.
* Training and Development: Lead the training and professional development of our Financial Planners, with a particular focus on growing AUM.
* Recruitment and Onboarding: Oversee the recruitment and integration of new Financial Planners and support staff in 2025 and beyond.
* Regulatory Compliance: Liaise with the FCA as necessary, and hold the SMF3 function, working closely with our Head of UK Compliance (SMF16 and SMF17).
* Cross-Regional Collaboration: Foster strong relationships with other Skybound Wealth offices, currently located in Switzerland, Cyprus, the UAE, and the USA.
Please note: This is an FCA-approved role. The successful candidate will need to apply for the SMF3 function, and the appointment will be subject to FCA approval.
Skills and Experience Required:
Essential:
* Level 4 Diploma or Chartered status through CII, CISI, or LIBF.
* Proven experience and success within the UK financial advice sector.
* Demonstrated experience in managing successful teams and delivering training for Financial Planners.
* A strong understanding of the UK regulatory landscape.
* A proactive approach that has contributed to business generation and AUM growth.
Desirable:
* Previous experience holding the SMF3 function in a regulated business.
* Familiarity with cross-border financial planning (e.g., UK repatriation, Australia, USA, Europe).
* Knowledge of global regulatory frameworks outside of the UK.
