Business Development Manager - Electrical Wholesale

My client is an Independent Electrical Wholesaler in the Midlands. They are looking for an External Account Manager (Business Development Manager) to join their team in Coalville, to help drive the branch to the next level.
Job Description:
This is a multi-faceted sales role, split between being in the branch and out on the road visiting customers, assessing their needs, quoting, setting pricing structures, and supplying the required materials.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Growing current accounts and spotting opportunities while on the road.
2. Lead generation and market research to open new accounts frequently.
3. Ensuring new customer accounts spend consistently.
4. Liaising with all other branch members to provide the best customer service possible.
5. Working with the management team and senior sales staff to develop and implement sales strategies to grow in the local area.
6. Staying informed on the latest products, innovations, and developments in the industry.
7. Targeting and growing small contractor type businesses and end users such as education/healthcare establishments, hospitality venues, leisure facilities, factories, distribution centers, local government, and social housing.
Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate will have a proven sales background in Electrical Wholesaling. The necessary skills needed include:
1. Enthusiasm, drive, and passion.
2. Punctuality, excellent time management, and organizational skills.
3. High attention to detail.
4. Strong communication skills to build and maintain relationships with customers and key suppliers.
5. Ability to deal with both new and existing accounts, as well as non-account holders.
6. Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions.
7. Ability to work under your own initiative and be target-driven.
8. Knowledge of sales strategies and managing an area while working with targets.

Pay: £28,000.00 - £36,000.00 per year
