We are currently looking for an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join our clients team in Watford. The ideal candidate will have a strong commercial and industrial background, a proven track record of successful project management, and the ability to lead teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Role Overview:
As an Electrical Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the execution of electrical projects from start to finish. You will ensure that all aspects of the project are delivered to the highest standards, on time, and within budget, while maintaining a focus on quality and safety. You will be the key point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, and you will manage all aspects of the project, including design, installation, and commissioning.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage the day-to-day operations of electrical projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
2. Oversee the planning, design, and implementation of electrical systems for commercial and industrial projects.
3. Coordinate and manage the work of electrical teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
4. Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring cost control and accurate forecasting.
5. Monitor and report on project progress, identifying any risks or issues and developing solutions to mitigate them.
6. Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, industry standards, and client specifications.
7. Liaise with clients and stakeholders to maintain strong relationships and ensure project satisfaction.
8. Conduct site inspections, audits, and reviews to ensure the work meets project specifications and safety standards.
9. Prepare and review project documentation, including progress reports, risk assessments, and schedules.
10. Provide technical support and guidance to the project team and subcontractors as needed.
Key Requirements:
1. Proven experience as an Electrical Project Manager with a strong background in commercial and industrial projects.
2. Solid understanding of electrical systems, project management methodologies, and construction processes.
3. Ability to manage and deliver multiple projects simultaneously, with excellent organizational skills.
4. Experience in budget management, cost control, and resource allocation.
5. Knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and health and safety standards.
6. Strong leadership and team management skills.
7. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities, with a client-focused approach.
8. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Procore) and Microsoft Office Suite.
9. Relevant electrical qualifications (e.g., HNC, HND, or equivalent in electrical engineering) are preferred.
10. A valid driving license is required for site visits.
