We currently have an exciting opportunity for you to join STI Ltd as a Shipping & Import Coordinator. This role is offered on a full time, permanent basis.
As the Shipping & Import Coordinator, you will control all aspects of the company logistics and import/export process, driving best practice improvements across international export procedures and advising on all import/export and licensing control issues.
Some of the main responsibilities include:
* In conjunction with Purchasing, coordinating the tender and review of all logistics requirements for the company domestically and internationally.
* Raising customs clearance instructions for import and export.
* Maintaining customs compliance and records.
* Building on current STI best practice, refining the processes and assisting with general enquiries and issues.
* Building on STI Export Controls knowledge base, US, EU, and UK requirements.
* Continuing to maintain and license STI's current business needs.
* Identifying the export classification of components, printed circuit boards, and electronic assemblies as required by STI customers.
For this role you will need:
* The ability to operate over a broad range of logistics activities.
* Experience of customs tariff, customs commodity classification, and Incoterms.
* Good knowledge and understanding of all aspects of UK Export Control requirements.
* Working towards a knowledge and understanding of all aspects of US Export Controls, in particular ITAR compliance.
* Good knowledge and understanding of export control software.
* Knowledge of dual-use products, preferably for both EU and US regulations.
* Ability to interpret technical import/export regulations and translate these for stakeholders at all levels.
This is a full time, permanent role at our site in Hook, Hampshire.
This role is Hybrid, with at least 3 days in the Hook office.
