Purpose of the Role One Maidstone BID is a not-for-profit organisation that seeks to make Maidstone an attractive place in which to live, work, visit and do business. This post will provide the successful applicant with the chance to support a small, friendly team that works to benefit Maidstone town centre. The purpose of this role is to support the BID CEO and team in the delivery One Maidstone BID objectives. To support the member businesses. To provide administrative assistance through the provision of fundamental office support functions and to be involved in the activities and projects that the company provides. The role will be for a 12-month fixed term contract with the potential of becoming permanent following a successful review at the end of this term. Working day to day at Maidstone BID, employment for this position will be via Savills Management Resources. Key Responsibilities Reporting to the BID CEO to aid with operational and administrative tasks Prepare Weekly and Monthly financial reports Assist BID businesses (Levy members) with incoming queries and help resolve /signpost to support Support BID CEO, Business Crime Manager and Marketing Manager with projects and tasks Help deliver activities linked to achieving BID business plan objectives Organise, support and be part of town centre events and activities Office based duties to aid the smooth running of BID services, to support and be a key part of the team Skills, Knowledge and Experience A confident, friendly demeanour An ability to be tactful and diplomatic Be approachable, listen carefully and deliver what is promised Be thorough, organised and show attention to detail Have an interest in Maidstone’s community and be invested in measures taken to improve its appeal to residents, visitors and businesses Have an understanding and confidence in the use of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook Working Hours - Part-time, 12 month FTC. 16 - 17 hours per week (though some flexibility will be required, and occasional extra hours may be necessary) Salary - £10,608 - £11,271 (pro-rata) LI-DNI Please see our Benefits Booklet for more information.
