Role: Junior DevOps Engineer
Salary: £30,000-£35,000 per annum + benefits
Location: Fully remote working
We are currently working with a large scale assurance provider, with operations in over 100+ countries across the globe, who require a Junior DevOps Engineer to join an expanding team. The client are happy to consider graduate candidates for this particular role or anyone with commercial experience. There will be room for growth and progression in to a mid level role within 12-18 months. The client are happy to consider candidates who require development from a technical perspective, who has a keen passion to learn, grow and develop and someone who can display passion for the role and the job you're doing.
As a Junior DevOps Engineer, you will contribute to automating workflows and supporting process improvements across the SDLC for infrastructure and software. Your focus will be on learning and assisting with the implementation of solutions that enhance the speed and stability of deployments to production. You will work closely with senior engineers to help build and maintain pipelines, set up monitoring systems, and respond to incidents under guidance. Additionally, you will have opportunities to learn about security practices, cost management (FinOps), and other areas that improve operational efficiency as you grow in the role.
Skills and experience required for the role:
Commercial experience of working with Azure DevOps
Any experience of working with Azure & AWS as you will be inolved in an AWS project
Any exposure to Yaml pipelines
Any exposure either commercially or otherwise to DevSecOps
Basic understanding of Cloud Computing
Exposure to or a basic understanding of setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
A strong passion to learn, develop and grow into a mid-level EngineerThe role will be fully remote working, with no travel required to client sites. Your base location will be classed as Birmingham.
