Reed Finance are pleased to be partnering with an established academy trust who are seeking a new lead finance and operations professional to join their executive team. This pivotal role involves strategic financial and operational leadership across the Trust, ensuring financial efficiency and fostering excellent working relationships to support their aligned vision for business and operational excellence.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Lead the operational and business vision, aligning with the Trust’s strategic goals and focusing on key performance indicators.
* Act as the Chief Finance Officer, supporting robust financial governance and compliance with the Academy Trust Handbook.
* Monitor cash flow, financial planning, and other financial activities, reporting directly to the Board of Trustees.
* Oversee all business functions including Finance, HR, Governance & Compliance, Estates, and IT, ensuring they align with the Trust’s strategic direction.
* Provide comprehensive business and financial support in liaison with Trustees, the CEO, and contracted business support services.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Proven experience in strategic financial and operational roles
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and lead teams during times of change.
* Excellent communication skills, capable of managing high-level projects and solving problems methodically.
* Experience in managing financial compliance and producing financial reports for senior management.
* Knowledge of educational trends and the ability to drive efficiency within the Trust.
