Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities:
* To be the custodian and central point of contact for NHS Clinical Contracts for both organisations
* To constantly develop and manage a system which stores a library of contractual documentation
* Provide contract support to Trust managers, facilitating enquiries to the correct team members portfolio
Skills & Experience:
* Extensive experience of managing small projects, updating action trackers and taking minutes
* Proficient diary management skills using Microsoft Office applications
* Excellent ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing within the two Trusts and with external organisations

The single corporate service is delivered across both organisations. You may be based at either IWT or PHU and individuals may be required to undertake business travel between sites. For leaders managing staff across multi-site locations, you will need to be visible and provide in-person leadership. The arrangements and frequency will be agreed locally.
On Friday 1 November 2024, corporate support services from Isle of Wight NHS Trust (IWT) and Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust (PHU) came together to form a single Corporate Services Division. This division will support services across IWT and PHU to develop clinically and financially sustainable services for all our patients and communities. We have a long partnership and now this has been formalised we are progressing our plans to transform our clinical services, corporate and support services, governance and leadership to provide innovative patient care and the best possible outcomes for our patients and communities.
The IWT/PHU Finance single corporate hub is seeking applications from highly motivated and qualified individuals for the position of Contracts Assistant, Band 4. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team committed to supporting clinical and operational teams deliver high quality patient care.

Qualifications and Skills & Knowledge
* Relevant degree/high-level business qualification and/or equivalent NHS work experience.
* Ability to interpret and present complex, sensitive, contentious or technical information in a user-friendly and understandable manner.
* Knowledge and/or experience of the NHS Contracts function.
* Experience of formulating and/or implementing clinical/marketing/business strategies.
