Job summary We have flexible bank shifts and long-term placement opportunities available for HCPC registered Biomedical Scientists available at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust. Main duties of the job The lab provides a comprehensive 7-day service covering bacteriology, mycobacteriology, mycology, virology, serology and parasitology, and molecular testing. You will rotate across these sections. You will be required to work shifts on a 24/7 rota system, which includes weekend and bank holiday working, and early/day/late/night shifts. The successful applicant will initially be assigned to one of the Specialist areas of Biochemistry, which include Metabolic Chromatography, Trace Elements, LC-MS, and Endocrinology. You may be assigned to other parts of the Biochemistry laboratory as per service need.
