SAP Senior Developer
We have a position for a SAP Senior Developer to support the design, creation and management of additions and changes to a university’s SAP systems.

Primary Duties
* Responsible for the creation and maintenance of additions and changes to the internal SAP system; this will involve writing new programs using the wide range of tools and utilities available within SAP and seeking to continuously enhance the effective use and performance of the existing custom code base of the University’s SAP systems.
* Have responsibility and drive standards, best practices and skills development.
* Investigate, troubleshoot and solve issues on the University’s non-SAP Finance systems.
* Be responsible for the technical design and translation of functional requirements into agreed technical specifications for system changes.
* Manage technical developments through all stages, from the definition of requirements, through to design and development to testing and documentation.
* Liaise closely and communicate effectively with staff in other departments and externally when creating and maintaining interfaces to other University systems.
* Work closely with SAP Business Analysts, SAP Developers, SAP Helpdesk staff and Users and consult with the SAP Operations and Enhancement Lead in respect of the necessity of bespoke changes to SAP.
* Aid and advice regarding any changes to understand the purpose of each development and to identify possible alternative solutions.
* Maintain contact and liaise with key users of ancillary systems around the University and ensure that all interfaces continue to function, advising on improvements where appropriate.
* Provide input, follow defined team procedures and help to facilitate Agile Project Delivery and take part in regular Agile Planning Meetings, Stand-Ups and Retrospectives.
* Other ad hoc duties in support of the Finance Systems Team and as directed by the SAP Operations and Enhancement Lead or Head of SAP and Finance Systems
Position Requirements
* A degree or equivalent level professional qualification, or equivalent experience
* SAP accreditation, or equivalent qualification or experience
* Experience with SAP S/4HANA ABAP development, Fiori Launchpad, Fiori Elements, CDS Views, Gateway, SAP BTP
* Good knowledge of SAP FI, SD, MM, P2P, O2C, PS and related finance systems and processes
* Understanding of systems analysis and requirements gathering tools and methodologies
* High-level problem solving and analytical skills, preferably in a business environment
* Wide knowledge of a range of classic and modern SAP Development skills, across multiple projects and system landscapes
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to explain/present complex data to all levels of staff, and work in a dynamic and agile team environment
Desirable
Understanding and experience of working in an HE environment
Development Quality Assurance, Performance Monitoring, Test Automation: establish & maintain Code Standards, ABAP Test Cockpit/Unit Tests, Code Inspector.
Understanding of agile project management tools and methodologies
