We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician (nights) to join our site maintenance team. As a Maintenance Electrician, your primary responsibility will be to carry out both reactive and pre-planned maintenance works as per the maintenance program. You will be responsible for maintaining aggregate processing equipment and the site facilities to ensure the maximum operational reliability and availability of the plant while ensuring the lowest possible maintenance costs for all equipment.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a mineral processing environment or other heavy industry environment, have electrical engineering qualifications, and have a sound understanding of BS 7671:2018 18th Edition and Essential Standards.
Responsibilities will include:
* Performing electrical maintenance involving repairs, disassembly, overhaul, assembly, and adjustments of crushing and screening or mobile equipment components.
* Installing and maintaining electrical equipment/systems per BS 7671:2018 18th Edition and other electrical standards/regulations.
* Maintain proper tool/parts inventory for specified jobs.
* Perform scale and automation checks for aggregate plants.
* Produce accurate estimates and project costs.
* Complete maintenance projects on time to ensure production goals.
* Maintain up-to-date written or data input spreadsheets on all equipment repairs using the site CMMS system.
* Ensure that all equipment repairs are performed accurately to the manufacturer’s standards.
* Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as company policies and procedures; assist with physical inspections of plant property/departments and immediate reporting of unsafe conditions and/or accidents.
* To coach and mentor Electrical Apprentices.
