The Supply Chain department at Müller Market Drayton is seeking a skilled Material Controller to oversee all facets of assigned raw materials during the weekly MRP process. This role involves monitoring and managing materials for new product launches and redesigns, including materials alignment for delists.
Location: Market Drayton
Contract: Full-time/Permanent
Working Hours: Monday to Friday (9am – 5pm / 8am – 4pm)
Hybrid: 2 days at home
Main Responsibilities:
1. Monitor inventory levels and place orders for replenishment to meet availability requirements.
2. Be the interface with suppliers to coordinate all activities associated with order placement, scheduling, deliveries, and invoice queries.
3. Identify and resolve any discrepancies in inventory records.
4. Collaborate closely with Procurement, Operations, Demand, and Production Planning teams to ensure materials availability.
5. Maintain SAP materials master data settings.
Requirements:
1. Knowledge of MRP and Material Management systems.
2. Computer literate and numerate.
3. Knowledge and experience covering the complete supply chain processes.
4. Good phone manner and assertiveness with suppliers and sub-contractors.
5. Good team player with excellent communication skills.
6. Ability to work under pressure.
7. Strong problem-solving skills.
8. Must be business-focused with a commitment to continuous improvement and a positive “can do” attitude.
9. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
10. Experience using SAP modules is desirable.
