The candidates will have extensive management accounting experience. The posts will be working in the management accounting team providing essential financial support to our budget holders and managers alongside your finance colleagues. Your role will be to assist and challenge within this difficult financial environment following our financial procedures and guidance. Candidates must have experience of variance analysis, forecasting budget spend, financial modelling and planning. We are looking for candidates who want to make a difference to local public services. Through effective use of our resources, you will be able to influence working practices, develop your skills and attain a professional qualification within a supportive environment. We are a large finance department, and this role will provide the opportunity to develop and build on your experience in our management accountancy team. About YouThe successful candidates will be willing to learn and work effectively and efficiently both individually and as part of a wider team. You will have strong IT and communication skills. You will have to be a fully qualified accounting technician (AAT) or equivalent, or a graduate with a finance degree and have significant experience working in a management accounting environment. Full training support will be provided to achieve CIPFA qualification, if desired. Our current work practice is hybrid remote working. You will be provided with equipment to be able to work effectively from home and from our offices in Shire Hall, Gloucester.
