Their adult services provide rehabilitation and long-term support for individuals who have suffered acquired or traumatic brain injury. The rehabilitation provided spans behavioural, social, cognitive, physical, and functional skills retraining.

Job Role:
1. To participate as a full member of the multi-disciplinary team in the assessing, planning, implementation, and evaluation of individual treatment and rehabilitation plans liaising with other relevant agencies as appropriate.
2. To use an evidenced-based patient-centred approach to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate treatment plans to support residents' physical and psychological needs.
3. Work with residents and team members to identify goals and set treatment plans.
4. Liaise with relatives and carers with empathy, giving information, support, and advice whenever and as often as required, in respect of treatment plans.
5. Maintain concise records and provide reports as necessary for each resident's case review.
6. Identify risks and advise other team members on interventions to minimise risks.
7. To undertake assessment of daily living skills to identify the level of functional ability, risks, and level of support needed.
8. Participate in clinical meetings, reviews, and other discussions where required.
9. To ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of all Occupational Therapy equipment.
10. To be aware of and have regard for the Standards of Practice from the Royal College of Occupational Therapy and other statutory bodies in relation to professional matters.
11. To liaise with appropriate outside organisations for equipment provision e.g. wheelchair services.
12. To contribute to the development and training needs within the Therapy Team and the wider MDT, including Nurses and Care staff.
13. To review and reflect on own practice and performance through the effective use of both operational and professional supervision.
14. To directly support and supervise staff ensuring professional lines of accountability and priorities are met and that all policies and procedures are strictly adhered to.
Requirements:
1. Diploma / degree / masters in Occupational Therapy.
2. Member of HCPC.
3. Strong evidence of continued professional development.
4. A minimum of two years' experience working as an Occupational Therapist.
5. Experience working with a wide range of neurological conditions.
6. Experience of working with people with chronic disability and progressive conditions.
7. Evidence of experience of using a wide range of approaches to the management of patients as demonstrated by clinical reasoning.
8. A clear understanding of the CSP professional code of conduct and relevant professional guidelines.
9. Ability to deal with sensitive information with discretion and to maintain confidentiality at all times.
10. Ability to multitask and to work accurately and effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines.
11. Ability to organise and prioritise workload.
12. Ability to work independently and on own initiative.
13. Ability to rapidly assess a situation/problem and to develop appropriate solutions in a proactive manner.
14. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy.
15. Good English language and grammar.
16. Report writing skills.
